Benefits of Milk Paint

When you work with our powdered Milk Paint, you can mix as much or as little as you need for your project. When our paint is in powdered form, it has an indefinite shelf life. Once it’s mixed, it’s perishable and usually lasts for a few days. That said, you’ll fall in love with our colors to the point there won’t be any left over!

If you are new to our paint line, we suggest you take a peek at these foundational blog posts.

Another benefit of working with our powdered Milk Paint is that you can easily combine our colors to make your own custom blends!

To mix Klaudia’s custom sage green, mix 3 parts Lucketts Green, 1.5 parts Typewriter and 1 part Mustard Seed Yellow together. A “part” can be any unit of measurement you wish - tablespoon, cup, gram, scoop, pinch, dash, etc.

After Klaudia mixed up her custom sage green, she refinished this cabinet in her characteristic style - worn, aged and gorgeous!

See that brown peeking out here and there? That’s part of the original finish! Here’s how her piece started. It had lots of potential, don’t you think?
