Lucketts Green

Let’s chat about March’s MMSMP Color of the Month. It’s our spring green, Lucketts Green!

This Spring green was inspired by the color of the cedar shake siding on the Old Lucketts Store. This charming gem of an antique shop can be found in the hamlet of Lucketts, west of the Potomac River in Virginia. This vintage green was a popular furniture color in the 1930's and 1940's.

Lucketts Green is available in our new 100% natural, eco-friendly formula.

So how do you finish your painted pieces? Lucketts Green changes colors from raw (no finish) to applying finishes. To see how this green changes with each finish, take a peek at this photo:

What to Pair with Lucketts Green

Combine Lucketts Green with accents of Ink Blue for a sophisticated look of Boxwood for a monochrome look.

Lucketts Green is a part of the Farmhouse Color Collection. It pairs well with the collection's colors, Dried Lavender (now available!), French Enamel, Ironstone, Farmhouse White, and Grain Sack.

Now let’s look at a few pieces painted in Lucketts Green!

Pair with Wood Tones

For the Love Creations created this beautiful table. The top is wood, and the legs and drawer are painted in Lucketts Green. The distressing on this piece makes the top coordinate so well!

Use as an Accent Color

Lucketts Green is the perfect pop of color. It looks great paired with white and blue. We love the lok of this green chair paired with antique aqua blue bottles. Try pairing Aqua Sky and Lucketts Green to create a similar vintage feel!

Another great way to use Lucketts Green as an accent color is by painting frames. This chalkboard frame has the perfect pop of color thanks to a refinish using Lucketts Green MilkPaint™.

Vintage 61 Storehouse used Lucketts Green as an accent color to create a mid-century modern look with MilkPaint™. They paired French Enamel and Dried Lavender with Lucketts Green on the mid-mod back drop!

Perfect for Spring and Summer

Elizabeth of Country Peony used Lucketts Green and the other colors in the Farmhouse Collection to create these lovely, vintage-inspired gardening sticks.
