DIY Milk Painted Barn Quilt
Our customers are so talented! Our retailer in Moncton, New Brunswick, Front Porch Mercantile recently had a customer drop in for ideas on creating a barn quilt wall hanging using Miss Mustard Seed’s Milk Paint. Jennifer, who is an avid quilter and Miss Mustard Seed’s Milk Paint fan, wanted to use some scrap fencing pieces and create a barn quilt hanging for her barn. Maybe she was inspired by Miss Mustard Seed’s book https://missmustardseed.com/barn-quilt-coloring-book-art-journaling/After consulting with Lisa from Front Porch Mercantile they came up with a great plan and colour scheme. Jennifer used cedar fencing pieces she mitre cut into triangles. She used Miss Mustard Seed's Farmhouse White, Tricycle, Trophy/Farmhouse White blend, Curio and Typewriter as stain on the triangles and left a few natural.
She glued them all to a piece of plywood, framed it out with 1x2’s and sealed with teak oil.
What a fabulous project, well done Jennifer!
