Arabesque is one of the soft and muted colors in our European Collection. The rest of the collection contains Bergere, Schloss, Layla’s Mint, Marzipan and Mora.

When we designed Arabesque, we weren’t aiming for a loud shade of pink. Instead, our Arabesque formula is dusty, soft, muted and sophisticated. It’s really the most darling color!

Pink may evoke images of nurseries, ballet slippers, tutus and little girls’ bedrooms. While it’s definitely suitable for children, pink is also a color for adults to enjoy! Pink fits seamlessly into modern decor, pairs beautifully with champagne gold and brass accents and is a color we encourage you to incorporate into your home.

Pair Pink With Navy

Navy is a saturated and rich shade of blue. By pairing pink accent pillows, side tables and touches of champagne gold, you can introduce a pop of soft color to navy-themed decor. This photo via Pinterest shows how one blush pink pillow and some springtime flowers instantly add a feminine touch to an otherwise masculine scene.

Blending in natural elements, like the stool and breakfast tray infuses warm earthy touches to ground the entire look.

Pink and Gray

Is there a more popular color combination than pink and gray?

We loved this inspirational photo because it combines the dark navy in the background of the wall art with a modern-shaped blush upholstery on the chair. The hourglass side table works well with the modern legs on the barrel chair too! This space could easily become less floral by swapping out the wall art for something more geometric, like this:

See how the wall art pairs tones of gray, mauve and blush pink? Our Arabesque and Schloss (or Trophy) would fit seamlessly into this scene!

Arabesque Craft Inspiration

Several of our blogging friends have used Arabesque in the most clever ways! If you’re a crafty sort of person, you’ll love these salt dough hearts made by Elizabeth of The Country Peony. (What a fitting name, eh? Peonies pair perfectly with Arabesque!)

Elizabeth whipped up a batch of these darling hearts and painted them in varying shades of Tricycle and Arabesque. Check out some of the custom recipes she created:

Her salt dough hearts were strung with ribbon and could be hung anywhere! And who says heart decorations are limited to Valentine’s Day? You can “heart” Miss Mustard Seed’s Milk Paint any day of the year!

Emily of Penny & Ivy got creative with fabric and dyed hearts using MMS Milk Paint.

In full disclosure, Emily tried using Arabesque, and it didn’t translate well on fabric. With that said, she used Pink Grapefruit and Tricycle, which worked out perfectly. Our Pink Grapefruit actually wound up looking a bit like the shade of Arabesque in the end!

Antique Furniture Painted in Pink

If you’re like us, then you’re a lover of all things antique! Pink looks amazing over antique and vintage style furniture just as much as it does modern. Take this chippy vanity by Jenn of Eight Hundred Furniture for example:

P.S. - Did you know this chair was a thrift store find? Score!

One of our favorite examples of Arabesque on an antique piece of furniture is this dresser from Thirteen Hundred North Designs.
