Bohemian Style
Bring Some Bohemian Charm To Your Home Decor
Ah, the bohemian look…it’s laid back, natural and free-flowing. From macrame to succulents, boho style has a few key elements that we want to celebrate.
Natural Textiles
Any boho space needs to have all sorts of varying textiles. From nubby pillows to tassled throws, as long as it’s cozy, it will fit right in! Baskets are also a fabulous way to add lots of boho texture to a space. They’re a cinch to hang on a wall, like Nicole of Thirteen Hundred North did above this dresser painted in Carolina Dune.
Macrame
Speaking of natural textures and materials, there’s nothing more bohemian than a woven macrame tapestry.
If you’re decorating an outdoor space, consider a macrame hammock or a swing. You can even make light fixtures too!
Lots And Lots Of Plants
This is by far the easiest way to add some boho vibes to your space. Grab some succulents, pothos, cacti or a fiddle leaf fig tree and start channeling your inner plant person!
This photo reminds us of our lovely green, Boxwood, with pops of Pink Grapefruit on the cactus pillow on the sofa! The cozy throw looks like our Carolina Dune too!
Your plants don’t all have to be live either. Think about all of the beautiful ways you can incorporate some dried varieties throughout your space. How a bunch of dried lavender, eucalyptus or baby’s breath hanging from a few hooks on the wall or nestled in a basket?
Earthy Colors
A big part of the whole boho experience is to reconnect yourself back to nature. Think about all of the colors you see in nature - deep greens, earthy browns, bright pops of oranges and moody sunset reds.
We really love the whole feel of the room above. From the woven basket to the natural bed linens, this whole scene invites you to crawl right in and let the cares of the day wash away. There’s probably some piping hot chai tea in that mug, don’t you think?
